CTDO, Oxfam Novib, Oxfam en Peru, McKnight Foundation, Rete Semi Rurali ETS and SKI co-organised a side event at the GB 11 where they explored policies to promote and strengthen farmer managed seed systems. CTDO Regional Co-ordinator, Nyaradzai Chisango presented a paper on Benefit Sharing Fund: Community of Practice, and she was also a panelist at the side event. CTDO also attended the briefing on the UN Declaration on the Rights of Peasants (UNDROP), focusing on its alignment with the Seed Treaty (ITPGRFA), particularly around farmers' rights, seed sovereignty, and equitable access. In parallel with the GB11, CTDO observed the work of the Contact Group, which is a gathering of legal experts from across the globe who where engaged in comprehensive deliberations on the evolution, governance, and reform of the Multilateral System (MLS).
